"If I was creative director of Dior..." What would I do?
If I was creative director of Dior...
I wouldn't make it any more accessible to the youth. I wouldn't make it any more accessible to the matured clientele.
For me, Dior has always been a house of sophistication, the go-to couture house for women of style, elegance, aristocracy, wealth and intellect. I believe Dior should always be the temple for these women.
If I was creative director, I would spoil the women of intellect; I believe Dior shouldn't just be a house of mindless beauty and extravagance. I believe Dior should reflect the French tendency to philosophize and to think. I would give purpose to each collection, pret-a-porter or haute couture, and force the viewers and wearers to question the choices that construct the collection.
I would do my best to propel Dior back into the lead of mind-blowing shows (once dominated by McQueen, is now dominated by none), as I believe the presentation gives the meaning to the collection. Its the only way for the viewers to find out, or how else are they supposed to know?
If I was the creative director, my one of my top priorities is to find a new head of accessories (or make myself the head of accessories).

OPEN HOUSE BLOGSPOT TO LAUNCH SEPTEMBER 8
I will begin posting graphic designs and T-shirt artwork onto a separate blog, at atelieropenhouse.blogspot.com. The blog is set-up and ready to go, but it wont begin until September 8...which is my birthday. This blog will have the occasional graphic, but from now on it will be primarily focused on my fashion designs.
Cool.
Thanks.

Spring 2012: Jesus Under The Sea
I have a general idea of what I will be designing for Spring 2012. Naturally, I don't have a clue as to what will be in season then, since I don't have access to anything. But I'll be looking to three things for help: Hercules & Love Affair, the ocean and Jesus. Expect something retro, disco, exotic, and yet tame and religious.
(I do not own these pictures)
Burberry Pumpkins...
My best friend Nathalie and I were carving pumpkins a couple of months ago. We decided that we were too classy for jack-o-lanterns or spider webs, so we made designer pumpkins. We made Chanel, YSL and Louis Vuitton pumpkins (monogrammed and logo), but our most successful pumpkin was out Burberry pumpkin.
I miss Nathalie. She's going to be even further away from me when she moves to Paris at the end of this month. Lucky bitch.

Blast from the past; "Hunter" Fall/Winter 2008
This is one of my favourite looks, and also a signature thing of mine. I frequently incorporate centre seams and inter-locking and weaving swirls. Of course, this was the first outfit I designed with this characteristic.
From the "Hunter" Collection, F/W 2008.
Music Inspiration: "Hunter" by Bjork, "Hedonism (Pyramid 80s Mix)" by Monsieur Adi
